ACCESSIBILITY

Reading should be accessible.

This page explains our accessibility goals, the checks completed so far, and how to get help if something gets in your way.

Our goal

We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA for our website, and accessible reading and navigation in our iPhone and Android app.

This is an ongoing effort. We have not completed a full accessibility evaluation and are not claiming full conformance or certification under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Getting started without signing in

The app’s seven free lessons and subscription options do not require an email address or a sign-in code. Optional email verification is available for collection recovery and access on another device; you can choose Not now and keep reading.

Text-size and reminder controls are available in Options. If you contact support, the form asks for an email so we can reply; this does not create a reader account.

What we have checked

Our initial review covered the website and app code, selected text and background color combinations, and the website’s headings and lesson navigation as exposed to accessibility tools.

Full testing with VoiceOver and TalkBack, enlarged text, keyboard navigation, and different device orientations is still in progress. Some accessibility barriers may remain.

Tell us if something gets in your way

If you have difficulty reading a lesson or using the website or app, use our contact form or its email alternative.

Please tell us which page or lesson you were using, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If possible, include your device and any accessibility tools you use. You do not need to provide medical information.

You can also request help accessing a lesson in a format that works for you. We will review your request and work with you on an appropriate way to help.
